Thanks for this -- especially for enunciating the "Pie model" of scarcity.

Most of the medical discoveries that actually save lives -- smallpox vaccine, antisepsis protocols, insulin, penicillin, polio vaccine -- were given away to the world for free.

I am a graduate of UMRX and followed you during the Covid years. I wondered how difficult your stance must have been - please know that I was proud and glad that someone from “my school” was standing up and not just being a “follower” for the “science”.. So many people I knew were disappointments but you were an unknown person to me that bc of our shared UMAB connection gave me some hope and pride.
